An overturned tractor trailer blocked all southbound Interstate 95 lanes at Eastern Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
The flatbed tractor spilled was carrying large slabs of granite or marble, which created a “significant debris field” for nearly a quarter-mile, Maryland Transportation Authority officials said.
No one however was injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, although officials believe the truck flipped at about 3:20 p.m. Some traffic managed to get by the accident scene on the right shoulder by 4:30 p.m.
Accident cleanup is underway.
