BALTIMORE - A Morgan State University football player hospitalized after a team workout two weeks ago died Sunday, officials confirmed.
Morgan State University director of public relations Clint Coleman said Marquese Meadow was hospitalized two weeks ago after becoming disoriented during a team workout. Meadow was apparently improving, however his condition worsened on Saturday.
Coleman expressed his sympathies and condolences from the Morgan State family to Meadow's family.
Meadows, born May 31, 1996 in Washington, D.C., graduated from Friendship Collegiate Academy in 2014.
Coleman said the coaches were meeting with the players Sunday afternoon to let them know what happened.
Funeral plans have not yet been announced.
