At least one person was taken to shock trauma after an accident on I-70 that closed several lanes to traffic Monday morning.
The accident happened before 5 a.m. on Interstate 70 between Route 27 and Woodbine Road. Lanes for both eastbound and westbound traffic were closed for a time in the wake of the crash.
A medevac helicopter responded to the scene to transport at least one patient to shock trauma.
While the roadway reopened to traffic shortly before 6 a.m., one westbound lane remained closed.
