Howard County police forced to shoot man attempting suicide in Ellicott City

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. - Howard County police officers shot an Ellicott City man who first stabbed himself before confronting the officers with a knife.

The officers were dispatched to the 7600 block of Coachlight Lane in Ellicott City for a suicide in progress at about 1:30 p.m.
