The festival, now in its 49th year, is free and features music and food vendors.

In a statement, festival organizers said:

After discussions with the Baltimore's Department of Emergency Management, Fells Point Main Street has made the decision to postpone this weekend's Fells Point Fun Festival until later in the month. Our #1 priority is the safety and enjoyment of our festival goers.

Based on the deteriorating weather conditions, impending storm and high winds foretasted this weekend we feel as if we cannot give our festival goers, vendors, sponsors, and especially the residents of Fells Point a safe enjoyable festival experience.

We appreciate everyones understanding during this time. We are tentatively looking at the weekend of Oct. 23, 24,, and 25 for the Festival. This of course is pending on Baltimore City services and approvals. So please stay tuned and stay safe this weekend.
