One person is dead and two others injured after a morning crash in Baltimore City.
Police and medics were called to the area of Lexington and Calhoun streets, not far from Franklin Square Elementary School, some time before 9:30 a.m. Monday.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two other people were taken to area hospitals for treatment, fire officials said.
Baltimore Police said the two people injured were pedestrians and they are expected to survive.
Neighbors in the area as well as police told ABC2 News staff at the scene that at least one person, maybe two, got out one of two cars involved in the crash then ran away.
Two witnesses told ABC2 News they saw a marked police cruiser giving chase shortly before the crash.
