Woman en route to hospital with injuries

EDGEWOOD, Md. - A man was shot and killed in what Harford County authorities said was a domestic related shooting, according to spokesman Edward Hopkins.

Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of Mahonia Way in Edgewood on Monday at about 8 p.m.

A 911 call was placed by the woman living at the home. She told authorities that she was assaulted by the man of the house. She suffered minor injuries: lacerations and bruises.

Hopkins was "fairly certain" the two were a couple. Police do not know if children were at home at the time of the shooting.

The woman called 911 after she reportedly shot the man, Hopkins said.

The investigation is ongoing.
