HBO just released the premiere date for its original series Girls, but we have to wait until February to see the finale season. While you wait Kristina Guerrero has some other GIRL POWER shows that you can stream now.
1. Insecure on HBO
The series was created by the star Issa Rae and Comedy Central's Larry Wilmore. It was based on the hugely popular web series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl which was also created by Rae. You can stream it now if you have a subscription to HBO.
2. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on Netflix
This show is a musical romantic comedy created by Rachel Bloom and she also stars in it as Rachel. There are usually around three original songs in each episode. If you're not into musicals, you'll probably still laugh along as Rebecca navigates her life. You can stream it now on Netflix.
3. Good Girls Revolt on Amazon
The series follows a group of young career women in the late ‘60s who work at a news magazine and fight to be treated equal to their male co-workers. The story was partly inspired by the book, by the same title and was written by Lynn Povich who worked as a researcher at Newsweek in the late 1960s. You can binge watch this one now if you have an Amazon Prime membership.
