Kara Hines and her family traveled from Orlando to BWI Marshall Airport Monday.

Her 12-year-old son was wearing a safari hat that belonged to his grandfather, who passed away a year and a half ago.

He misplaced the hat and Kara took to social media in an attempt to find it.

She says, though it's not worth anything monetarily, "it's worth everything to my 12-year-old."

The family is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They were traveling on Southwest flight No. 1267 from Orlando to Baltimore Monday. If you find the hat, please contact Kara.

Please share to help us reunite this 12-year-old with his grandfather's hat.
