The National Weather Service has confirmed that two tornadoes touched down in Harford and Baltimore counties Saturday afternoon.
Tornadoes are touched down in the Fallston area of Harford County as well as two locations in Essex. The first location was near Sussex Elementary School and the areas of Lance Ave and Woodlynn Road, according to Elise Armacost, spokesperson for the Baltimore County Fire Department.
A total of 28 homes were damaged in that area as powerful winds uprooted trees and toppled power lines.
The second tornado touched down near Island View Road on the water where eight homes were damages as a result of the storm.
Crews from the NWS spent Saturday evening is Essex and Fallston working to confirm if tornadoes did in fact come through the area and they were confirmed on Sunday.
