Teacher Charged with Sexual Abuse

Click Here to Watch the Video A special education teacher at a Montgomery County school for children with emotional disabilities has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor.

Police say 26-year-old Lindsey Froehlich, of Germantown, established a personal relationship with a 16-year-old male resident student. They say the relationship escalated into inappropriate touching initiated by the teacher.

Froehlich has been placed on administrative leave by the school system. She has worked at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents in Rockville since 2005.
