Part of Plane Falls from the Sky in Maryland

Contributor: Sabrina Agostini
Last Update: 3/24/2008 2:27 pm
U.S. Airways says a piece of one of their planes fell off over Maryland, but no one is sure where it landed.

The company notified local fire departments that a 17-square-inch piece of wing fell off and may be somewhere in Anne Arundel or Prince George's County, or even somewhere near Kent Island.

The plane was flying from Orlando to Philadelphia over the weekend. It has since been taken out of service.
