African American Heritage Festival

After attracting over three million people in six years, the African American Heritage Festival has become the premier  festival in the Mid-Atlantic region. In an effort to attract more visitors to Baltimore City , BACVA partners this year are providing the Festival with an opportunity to expand its reach to potential visitors in its nationwide tourism campaign.

The Heritage
Festival will take place July 3-5 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards M & T Bank Complex. This years festival will feature new and inspiring educational exhibits, exciting children’s corners, ethnic foods, art, local and national talent, along with, a Health & Wellness Village . This  years national headline artists include Teena Marie, En Vogue and Anita Baker.

The African American Heritage Festival offers a safe environment and a place for families to celebrate through  African American history in both visionary and the performing arts. Admission to the festival is free for children 12 and under, general admission is $5. Guests are encouraged to take the MTA down to the Festival via the light rail Hamburg and Camden Lines, Lexington Market subway or #27 bus routes.

Festival Hours

Friday, July 3 – 4PM until 10PM

Saturday, July 4 – 12 noon until 10PM

Sunday, July 5 – 12 noon until 9PM

How is it right that blacks can have an African American heritage festtival? If caucasions had a "White American Heritage Festival" we would be called racists.
