The craze for zombies is spreading. Zombie runs, zombie walks, zombie shows, we can't seem to get enough of the walking dead. Agencies like the Red Cross have taken notice too, and they're using the zombie obsession to teach people about disaster preparedness.
The Centers for Disease Control has created a book about preparing for a zombie pandemic. The American Red Cross has a zombie hotline. It may seem silly, but they say if you're prepared for a zombie apocalypse, you'll be ready for any type of disaster.
Some of the tips in the Red Cross zombie apocalypse book include having one gallon of water per person per day, non perishable food, a first aid kit, important documents and a weather radio.
