Eating and drinking is fun and it's even better when you know you're doing it to help a cause.  We've got s couple of events worth checking out because they support worthy charities!

The first event is all day, benefits the Maryland SPCA and involves burritos!  Chipotle is donating 50% of its proceeds on Thursday to the animal shelter.

Just go to one of the more than 60 Chipotle restaurants in the state, tell your cashier you're supporting the Maryland SPCA, and part of your check will be donated!

You can also show them the flyer we attached to this blog post and they'll make the donation too.  Then you can eat your burrito knowing you helped the thousands of dogs and cats that come through the shelter each year.  Win.

UPDATE: The event below has been postponed until October 13 due to the weather!!

The second event is in the evening and benefits the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation.

If you're not familiar with "Zaching," it was started by Zachary Lederer who was battling brain cancer.  He would often make the "strongman pose" while going through treatments, to show strength during tough times.  Sadly, Lederer died in 2014 but "Zaching" lives on.

To raise money for the foundation, the businesses in the Turf Valley Towne Square in Ellicott City are holding a Fall Wine Festival on October 13 from 6:30-9 p.m.  There will be wine tastings by Petite Cellars, local beers from Flying Dog, food from the Turf Valley Towne Square restaurants and live music from Don Bellew and the Dixon Ulmer Band.  You can purchase tickets at the event for $60.

Anytime you have a foodie event (especially if it's helping others) please, please, PLEASE tell us!! We love to share!  Tweet us @TasteBudsABC2
