On a sweltering July day, the staff at The Charmery in Hampden stayed busy dishing out ice cream to hungry customers looking for a cool, refreshing treat.
The enthusiasm for The Charmery's ice cream is exactly what David and Laura Alima hoped for when they opened their dream business three years ago.
Combining her background in hotel and restaurant management and his love of making homemade ice cream, they created a shop that sits on Hampden's popular 36th Street, also known as The Avenue.
