Faith leaders celebrate Dr. Frank M. Reid III elected bishop in A.M.E. church

Faith leaders and elected officials will come together to celebrate Dr. Frank M. Reid III on his election to bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church Tuesday. Dr. Reid was the former pastor at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Baltimore.

Reid will take on the role of Episcopal Prelate in the Office of Ecumenical and Urban Affairs.

 

U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot and Pastor Jamal Bryant are scheduled to attend.

The celebration starts at 8 p.m. and will take place at the Empowerment Temple in Baltimore.
