Men can't have babies and don't understand what their pregnant wife is going through. But a new product from Japanese researchers gives them a taste of what it's like to be with child.
It's a pregnancy simulator called the 'Mommy Tummy' and it lets daddy experience pregnancy.
The simulator pumps warm water into a plastic bag that expands by the minute. In just 2 minutes, men go from not pregnant to full term. It even imitates the movement of a kicking fetus, and responds to movement and touch.
The idea is to help men empathize with pregnant women, not to discourage a couple from getting pregnant.
