You might just want to grab a cold one and relax this Memorial Day weekend, but if you're looking for something fun to do there are plenty of options to get you out of the house.

Summer Sounds on the Square(May 27): If you aren't heading to the beach head to Belvedere Square. Starting this weekend they'll feature a different band every Friday night. Go into the market, grab a drink and something to eat and then head outside to check out the music. This week they're featuring New Romance, an 80s tribute band. Keep in mind you can't bring coolers but there are plenty of places inside to grab something delicious!

The Gathering (May 27): Food trucks are very popular right now and if you never know where you can find your favorite one this event is for you! This Gathering at the Metro Centre at Owings Mills features great food trucks, a kids zone and craft cocktails and beer. For only $20 you can buy an "all you care to drink" ticket. It's $3 to get in if you're the designated driver.

Waterfront Wellness (May 28-29): I usually stick to events that involve food but when you eat as much as I do working out becomes necessary. I also don't love spending a ton of money for a gym so the classes offered through Waterfront Wellness are perfect! They offer free outdoor fitness classes on Saturday and Sunday right at the Inner Harbor. There is a little something for every fitness level: boot camp, dance, yoga and barre. Again, this kicks off this weekend, but they will also offer classes on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. They get great instructors from the best gyms in Baltimore! Even though it's free, you do need to register so check out the link and get your fitness on!

Pics in the Park (May 28): When it's nice outside you don't want to just sit inside and watch a movie. Luckily, Baltimore's neighborhoods offer plenty of places to go outside and watch your favorite flick! Make a picnic, grab your camping chairs and head Downtown this Saturday. Pics in the Park is back and this weekend they are showing "Inside Out." They'll show one movie a month through September. Check out the link to add these films to your schedule!

Sowebo Arts and Music Festival (May 29): This free festival is happening most of the day on Sunday surrounding Hollins Market. This event has 5 stages that will feature 40 different bands throughout the day. Fourteen food vendors will offer delicious treats to chow down on while you check out all the art vendors. The Kid's Alley this year is bigger than it's ever been. There will be face painting, carnival games, and even a chalk art competition. The Festival runs from noon - 8pm on Sunday and is free to just walk around and check out.
