MECU’s commitment to serve has helped organizations reach major goals, like Sandtown Habitat for Humanity finishing its 300 th house. From adopting several houses, to having over a third of its employees volunteer during each Blitz Week, to developing a way to underwrite the special mortgages needed for Habitat homeowners, MECU has shown its commitment to making a better community through this partnership.
MECU is so pleased to team with ABC2 to support the 16 th Annual Kindertime Toy Drive. It gives us the opportunity to work with some of our members to make our community better, particularly our members who work in the Baltimore City Police and Fire Departments. These first responders know the delight a new toy can bring during the holidays to children with few possessions of their own.
The 15 th Annual Kindertime Toy Drive also provides us with a way to show more people in our community who we are: that we are local, that we care about the community and we care about the people we serve as members.
