We at Taste Buds love food holidays. Tuesday, February 9 is National Bagel Day, when we pay homage to the doughy, delicious, carb-filled breakfast meal with a hole in its middle.

Thomas is celebrating National Bagel Day with the launch of its new Lemon Blueberry bagel. This flavor won a Facebook contest last fall. So be on the lookout for it in your grocery store.
Also! Einstein Bros. Bagels is offering a free bagel and shmear (cream cheese) with any purchase on Tuesday. And it gets better. Einstein Bagels will match all bagels sold by donating to someone in need. Each location gets to choose the charity of its choice to send the bagel donation.
Eating a bagel and giving to a cause? That makes the carbs so worth it.
