A brand new way to explore Baltimore's craft beer scene: City Brew Tours is launching next month!

Craft beer experts combine history, culture, science and samples of beer to create a full service tour (plus they give you a ride) to the best breweries in Baltimore.

Every all-inclusive brew tour includes 15 different craft beer tastings, an indulgent meal with beer pairings, behind-the-scenes visits to four Baltimore breweries, City Brew Tours' "beer school" experience, and round-trip transportation so tour-goers can drink and their City Brew Tours guide can drive.

The guides are beer-experienced and range from home brewers to beer writers and certified Cicerones (think a sommelier but for beer.)

Breweries on the tour include:

  • Waverly Brewing Company
  • Charm City Meadworks
  • Pratt Street Alehouse
  • Brew House No. 16
  • Oliver Brewing Co.
  • Peabody Heights Brewery
  • Heavy Seas Beer

At the Tour's final stop, Brew House No. 16, participants enjoy a three-course, beer-focused menu paired with more samples.

“Since I ran my first brew tour in 2008, my goal has been to introduce as many people as I can to the art of craft brewing and the culture and history surrounding it,” said City Brew Tours Founder, Chad Brodsky in a statement.

“We at City Brew Tours have created the ultimate Baltimore beer experience that entertains, educates, and inebriates you and your friends while introducing you to the craft brewing community in Baltimore. Plus, you do not even have to worry about the driving! Let our passionate beer guides take you on a journey through the exciting history of this extraordinary beverage— from pre-civilization to the rise of craft beer in Baltimore! You drink, we drive!”

Tours consist of up to 14 participants and individuals can sign up alone, with a friend, as a group, or just meet new friends over the course of the tour. City Brew Tours also schedules private tours for small groups and large corporate outings.

Tickets will cost $85-$90 per person.

City Brew tours is launching in Baltimore just in time for Baltimore Beer Week on Oct. 7 and Oktoberfest! Tours are expected to start Oct. 8.

City Brew Tours is also available in Burlington, Philly, Boston and DC.
