Some restaurants banning customers taking pictures of their dishes

Restaurants getting camera shy

Gone are the days of snapping pictures of your yummy dishes at restaurants, at least at some locations.  Restaurants are starting to ban customers from taking pictures of their food.

The New York Times has a list of several restaurants in New York City, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada that won't allow customers to take a photo with their smartphone or tablet.  Some are instituting a no-flash policy.

Some restaurants say the pictures ruin the ambiance and dining experience for other patrons.  One restaurant in Brooklyn told the New York Times says the flash is not only distracting to the customers, but to the chef as well.
