Senate OK's bill to ease air delays

WASHINGTON (AP) -

The Senate has passed a bill to end air traffic controller furloughs that are blamed for major flight delays.

Approval came without dissent, and long after many senators had left for a week-long vacation.

Under the measure, federal regulators would be able to transfer money from accounts that are flush into other programs.

A House vote is expected as early as tomorrow.
