How would you like to buy a house for $1? On Wednesday, October 25, the Baltimore City Council will discuss bringing back the "dollar house" program.

Back in the 1980s, the program sold houses for $1 and helped finance the rehabilitation of the properties with low-interest loans as long as home-owners agreed to live in the home for a set amount of time.

Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke introduced the measure as a way to revitalize some of Baltimore's struggling neighborhoods as well as combat vacant and blighted properties. The bill is supported by the council.
