Should we limit parents' access to minor children's text messages?

Parents in Arizona who want to read their kids text messages need a court order to get them, even if the parent pays the bill.

A new bill wants to let parents access text messages sent to and from their child's phone without a court order.

The law requires cell phone companies to offer Arizona parents access to their minor children's texts.

But the cell phone companies would require a fee.

This got a lot of us talking in the newsroom this morning. What do you think about this? Should parents need a court order or should they just be able to look at their kids' phone?
