NAACP says marriage equality is a civil right

Today the NAACP will hold a press conference to discuss the decision to endorse same-sex marriage.

It voted over the weekend to declare marriage equality a civil right, even between same sex couples.

The NAACP constitution states there objective to ensure the "political, education, social and economic equality" of all people.

And the group says it will oppose any policy that seeks to remove the constitutional rights of LGBT citizens.
