July is national Cell Phone Courtesy Month

We've all likely experienced it, being on a plane, a bus, or a train and there's someone talking so loudly on their cell phone that you're sure it could be heard miles away.

Sometimes a look or a "shhhh" can do the trick, but sometimes, the person talking doesn't seem to care that they may be bothering you. That apparently happened on a train in Salem, Oregon.

A woman on a train was escorted off after we're told she threatened passengers who complained about her cell phone use. The 39-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct. Passengers say she was talking loudly non-stop for nearly 16 hours.

There's even an online campaign to encourage more cell phone etiquette. It's on the website pleaseshutup.com. July has also been named National Cell Phone Courtesy Month.
