How close did Sandy come to hitting us?

BALTIMORE - We weren't completely spared from Sandy's destruction. But when you look at the images out of New York and Atlantic City, you know we didn't get the worst of it.

The massive storm was 900 miles in diameter, and when you consider Baltimore sits 100 miles south of the hardest hit areas, most of us were very lucky.

ABC2 sent Charley Crowson and photojournalist Erik Neilsen to Atlantic City to provide some perspective on Sandy's severity. They traveled through downtown, now essentially a ghost town. The two also spoke to those impacted by the storm and took at tour of part of the historic boardwalk, leveled by Sandy.

Attached are two stories filed from that assignment.
