NEW YORK - New York and Boston are known for their historic rivalry. But the Big Apple put that all aside following the double explosions at the Boston Marathon.
In a show of support, the Brooklyn Academy of Music displayed lighted messages on the side of its building, according to the website gothamist.com. The messages included: "Peace and Love," "It shouldn't take a tragedy for us to come together," and "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that."
There was also a lighted display that said NY ♥ B (in the Red Sox font).
