TEOLO, Italy - Alex is a street luge rider and he was out testing a new prototype board in Teolo, Italy.
Things were going well until he rode over a portion of the road that was repaved and uneven, causing him to wobble and lose control.
He tried to use his right foot to slow down but he ran off the road, ending upside down in the grass and rocks.
Alex said he had the wrong setup on the board for the road conditions which made it harder to control the board.
The bigger issue was Alex could only use his right foot to try and stop because his ankle on his left foot was swollen and injured.
He said if he could have used both feet to slow down he never would have crashed. Alex was not injured in the accident.
