WADSWORTH, Oh. - Ohio National Guard soldier Stephen Kantorik has a special surprise planned at this year's Blue Tip Parade.
For the past several years, Kantorik has driven his Humvee from his unit in the event in his hometown of Wadsworth, Ohio.
This year, he stopped his vehicle in the middle of the parade route, got out of the Humvee and grabbed his girlfriend's hand bringing her to the middle of the road.
Kantorik got down on one knee in the street and asked his girlfriend, Tera Dobrich, to marry him.
The couple have dated for nearly six years and have an 18-month-old daughter. Dobrich told him she wanted a public proposal with family and friends.
After saying yes, the pair and their daughter all got into the Humvee together and drove the rest of the parade route.
