Movie lovers turned out at the Lord Baltimore Hotel not only to watch Hollywood's biggest night, but to be a part of it.
"I have worn this dress one other time before and I was excited to have it another time and throw in a few different accessories and have a great girls night for us," Kimberly Neal said.,
"With three small children at home, I don't ever get to dress up like this so an opportunity to do that, I will definitely take it," Caitlin Kirby added.
Organizers pulled out all the stops with the venue, the drinks, and the food.
For Errol Webber, the night brought back memories.
"I think it's one of those things that I'm going to remember for a very long time. It's definitely something that's going to be on my resume for the rest of my life," Webber said.
He is talking about his Oscar win in 2010 for his cinematography work in the documentary Music by Prudence.
He brought that special first-hand experience back home. But that's not all the Oscar night in Baltimore was all about. It was also about giving back.
Webber is starting a scholarship fund at at his alma mater, Maryland Institute College of Art.
"Giving somebody a scholarship, as a scholarship donor, we are saying 'we believe in you, keep on doing what you're doing, you're doing great work and you should continue to work at what you love doing and dedicate you're life to what you love doing'," Webber told ABC2.
Webber said for anyone who was not at this Oscar Night Event definitely missed out. Luckily, the plan is to have the event again next year.
