We're at the point in this season of The Bachelorette when the leading lady accompanies her four remaining suitors on hometown dates to meet their families and see where they grew up.

It's always pretty awkward. Let's be real-- meeting your significant other's family can be nerve-wracking under the most normal of circumstances. Well, imagine meeting your boyfriend/girlfriend's family after you've only been out with them once or twice, and the whole thing is broadcast on national television. Um, no thanks.

As of Monday night, Bachelorette JoJo was down to four men-- Chase, Jordan, Robby and Luke. She traveled to each of their homes to get a better sense of whether she could someday make a home with any of them.

First up was Chase. I'll be honest-- this dude has made no impression on me whatsoever this season. How has he gotten this far? JoJo met his family in Colorado, but had to meet his mom and dad separately because they are divorced and apparently don't get along. And we learned that the divorce was very traumatic for Chase and he has trouble expressing his feelings. But he did tell JoJo at the end of the date that he loved her.

Then came frontrunner Jordan, and this hometown was notable mainly for the fact that it focused on his estrangement from his NFL quarterback brother, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. JoJo seemed overly fixated on Aaron, mentioning to the cameras several times that Jordan has a famous brother and that she wouldn't be meeting him. The rest of the Rodgers family seemed to love her, though, and Mrs. Rodgers told Jordan that JoJo could be his destiny.

Next up was Robby, who professed his love for JoJo several weeks ago. The thing about Robby is that he broke up with his girlfriend of FOUR YEARS three months before he went on The Bachelorette. During his hometown date in St. Augustine, Florida, Robby's mom informed him that his ex's roommate was talking to tabloids, saying he dumped her when he got cast on the show. JoJo begged Robby to tell her the truth, and when he told her the relationship was over long before they actually broke up, she believed him. Do you? The whole situation seems shady to me.

Her fourth hometown was with Luke, in a small town in Texas. And it seemed like the entire town came out to greet him and JoJo-- she seemed a bit overwhelmed. (Like I said, hometowns are awkward). After she met his family, they went horseback riding -- not the first time on this season they've done that, Luke made a point of referring to himself as a "horse guy" on last week's episode-- and he led her to an array of flowers artfully shaped into a heart. But still, no "I love you" from Luke.

Did that doom him? Did JoJo send him home during the rose ceremony?

No idea, because this episode ended on a cliffhanger after Luke pulled her aside to tell her that she had his heart. The rose ceremony will be continued on next Monday's episode.
