Halloween on Dancing with the Stars is chock full of unbelievable costumes and make-up. The stars and pros managed some pretty good performances too! The highest scoring couple was granted immunity while the remaining couples had to duke it out in head-to-head dance battles. The competition is getting fierce in the ballroom!

Terra Jole’ and Sasha Farber's Beetlejuice-themed Cha Cha was a lot of fun. Terra gave it her all, as usual. Every week I wonder how she steps up to the challenge. The judges are ready for her to up her game, though. They need her to bring something new. I have no doubt next week we will be wowed. 24

Laurie Hernandez never disappoints. Her Viennese Waltz with Val Chmerkovskiy was magical. It was set to the song "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka. Their scores have not been stellar recently, but everything started clicking again. The crowd cheered throughout the majority of the performance. Loved it. 30.

I am slowly stepping off the Marilu Henner train. Her Tango with Derek Hough had a lot of potential that she didn't live up to. She's lacking confidence in her moves. She needs to get out of her head and she'll be fine. Don't think, just do, Marilu. 23.

Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold tore up the dance floor with their Quickstep. They were so good together. Lindsay's choreography this season has been fantastic. I'm thrilled that she and Calvin were finally rewarded with perfection. 30!

Without a doubt, Ryan Lochte's Maleficent-inspired Tango with Cheryl Burke was his best dance by FAR. It was wonderful to see him finally break through his plateau. I think this was the first time I actually enjoyed his performance. Sad. Anywho: 23. I was sure the scores were going to be better.

In the pre-dance package, Jana Kramer said that she and Gleb Savchenko didn't have a second to breathe and she was not kidding. Their Jazz was as non-stop as it gets. Kicks, flips, splits, it had it all. I loved it and the energy she brought to it. 27.

In a totally disappointing turn of events, Sharna Burgess had to sit this week out (and likely more weeks) with an injury. James Hinchcliffe performed with Jenna Johnson and holy smokes, these two stepped up to the challenge. Their "Suicide Squad"-inspired Viennese Waltz was phenomenal. I was concerned about the chemistry between James and Jenna, but it was unfounded. It was as if these 2 had been dancing together the entire season. James has got it: A perfect score AND immunity.

And then there was the dance-off. Calvin and Laurie went head-to-head with Jives. Laurie was very clean and precise. Calving was also very clean, but only mostly precise. Advantage: Laurie.

Jana and Terra did dueling Salsas. Each couple took slightly different approaches. Jana and Gleb went the sexy route, Terra and Sasha were a little more fun and fierce. The judges had a tough time with this one, because both pairs really left it all on the floor. Ultimately, Jana and Gleb walked away with the extra points.

Ryan went up against Marilu with a Cha Cha. Ryan and Cheryl were a lot of fun and entertaining, while Marilu and Derek stayed on the safe side. The fun approach won and scored Lochte some extra points.

Ultimately, the good will, the extra points, and the decent score couldn't keep Lochte safe. I have to believe that Marilu will be the next to go.
