Semi-finals night on Dancing with the Stars was a stellar night of dancing. Everybody came ready to compete and left just about everything they had on the floor. The night started out with Trio dances, then each couple tackled one more routine. The results were impressive.

Paige VanZant is in it to win it. This chick does not mess around. Her trio dance with Mark Ballas and Troupe Member Alan was perfection. It might be time for her to quit fighting and start dancing. 30.

Antonio Brown really stepped up for his Argentine Tango with Sharna Burgess and Troupe Member Hayley. While he has improved by leaps and bounds, there's no mistaking him for a pro. I love how his personality always shines through and is the highlight of the performance. 27.

Wanya Morris did a Paso Doble with Lindsay Arnold and Witney. The music was super powerful and emotional, and Wanya was definitely in character, but there was something lacking. The overall effect should have been more powerful than it was. The judges gave him glowing reviews, so I went back and watched it again. It still didn't move me. Again. Is it me? 30. Must be me.

I finally saw imperfection in a Nyle DiMarco performance and it wasn't fun. He was fully committed, but his Jive with Peta Murgatroyd and Troupe Member Jenna lost a little impact with his out of sync kicks and moves. His charisma and charm were still through the roof. 27.

Ginger Zee equals celebrity #2 who is in it to win it. My goodness. She, Val Chmerkovskiy and Artem ROCKED their Paso Doble. I'm so proud of Ginger because she was totally in-character AND believable. I had chills throughout the majority of her performance. Nailed it. All the judges commented on her getting a little carried away, but I saw nothing but fierceness. 27. Robbed.

Paige & Mark's Argentine Tango was H-O-T hot hot hot. Yowza! In the package before, we learned that Paige danced up until High School and then was a Varsity Cheerleader starting her freshman year. I feel so duped! I thought she was just surprisingly naturally good. No, she has all sorts of experience. Regardless, she was phenomenal and I could watch her dance all day. 29. Can't even believe, even with all his crotchetiness and this particular Argentine Tango being a little to hot for his liking, that Len gave them a 9. The. Worst.

Antonio's Contemporary with Sharna was so good. He has made such improvements throughout this season, it makes me proud of him, as stupid as that sounds. Those two had an intense connection and lifts that would make you gasp. Rave reviews and he still gets 2 9's. Dang. 28.

Wanya and Lindsay performed what I think might have been the fastest Quickstep in DWTS history. I'm surprised steam wasn't coming off them at the end. Wow! Show-stoppers. 30!!!

Nyle and Peta's Argentine Tango gave me chills beginning, middle, and end. It was unreal. Peta blindfolded Nyle for a portion of the dance and he was mesmerizing. It was unreal. He is truly an amazing specimen. 30.

Ginger and Val's Quickstep was adorably cute. She so fits the character of the dance. She was perfection yet again. Unless you're Carrie Ann Inaba and you deduct her 1 entire point for getting her foot caught up in her skirt. But whatever. 29.

Antonio and Wanya got the boot after a phenomenal night of dancing. Just about everyone made mention of the fact that the competition was tight among this group of competitors and it was unfair for any of them to be sent home. I don't think I've ever seen a Final 5 so evenly matched. This is going to make for a spectacular finale.
