Boy Band vs Girl Band Night had me laughing from the get-go. The male "stars" were all about their characters. I have not heard, "Girl..." so many times in my life.

Simone Biles and Sasha Farber kicked off the night with a Samba to Destiny's Child's "Survivor". Something off the top didn't seem right, it looked like she repeated a move, so I'm wondering if she started early. She and Sasha worked on the sexy-vibe, which I don't think Simone really captured, but it was good enough. She is beautiful to watch, but she's very deliberate and precise and I was looking for a little more flow. 35

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess performed a Rumba to "I Want it That Way" by the Backstreet Boys. It was a solid Rumba, but Bonner didn't really nail the style of the dance. He and Sharna are still 2 of my favorites to watch, but they're not really pulling themselves apart from the pack. 30

Nancy Kerrigan unleashed her Paso Doble on the crowd. Artem Chigvintsev created a fierce concept and Nancy stepped up to the challenge. This was by far my favorite Nancy dance. I do love that she acknowledged Mel B and Maks had done this same style of dance to the SAME song in a previous season. It was my favorite Mel B dance and she was also my favorite to win that season. Anyhoo, 33 for Nancy and Artem.

Nick Viall finally came into his own during his Jive with Peta Mergatroyd. I was surprised at how well he kept up with the pros. I guess I'm a terrible jive-judge, because the judges completely disagreed with me. 28, I would have scored higher.

Of course, Normani Kordei nailed her Salsa with Val Chmerkovskiy. They performed to "When I Grow Up" by the Pussycat Dolls. I was not digging the concept behind it. I don't understand why Val was dressed like a construction worker. However, it was like watching a professional performance. She was brilliant. 38, with an 8 from Len!!!! He thought it lacked Salsa "content". Ridiculous.

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold did their best doing an Argentine Tango to "All I Ever Needed" by N'Sync. Carrie Ann said, "It was rough around the edges." and I have to agree. I think it was his best dance, but it needed a bit more polish. 29

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater pulled of a Tango that was reminiscent of a Quickstep, it was so speedy! I don't know how he kept up the pace, I have never seen such a fast-paced Tango. I have fallen in deeper love with Rashad and his work ethic and his respect for EVERYTHING. I hope he hangs around. 37

Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy preformed a perfect Rumba at the expense of poor Alan Bersten. The concept behind it was that Maks was going to steal Heather back from Alan and they closed it out with Heather throwing a drink in Alan's face. Regardless of all that, it was actual perfection. I was anticipating the judges failing me and giving Heather 8's or something, but they finally got it right!!! Perfect score for Heather! FIRST 10 FROM LEN! Yay!!!

Team Boy Band was beyond entertaining. They had a blast and you could tell. The boys had to dance for 20 seconds without their partners and they went all Magic Mike. I think I blushed for every one of those 20 seconds. Oh my goodness. I loved this performance. They were phenomenal. 33

Team Girl Band started out with a cutesy sleepover theme that morphed into a girls night out. The male pros ALSO had a Magic Mike moment. Len called it right when he said there was too much frolic and not enough content. They didn't dance enough and I didn't enjoy it as much as the Boy Banders. 34

In a shocking twist of events, Heather Morris went home after being "in jeopardy" with Nancy. I am deeply saddened. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Heather dance and was really banking on a killer Freestyle from her. Next week is "A Night at the Movies". Looking forward to seeing what everyone will bring.
