A potential Nor'easter and snowmaker, or just a rain producer? Only time will tell, so stay tuned!

Just a very quick blog note on our Sunday storm potential. As of late this Thursday evening, the models are all over the board and given the season we have had, and forecast temps in the 50s the next two days, it is hard to imagine this storm really generating much accumulating snow.
Still, there is a scenario out there where, with the perfect storm track, enough cold air is in drawn into the system to produce a decent amount of wet snow, especially in the western half of the state.
But at this point, this is still a particularly difficult forecast. In fact, I thought I'd share some of the language from the latest "behind the scenes" discussion from the National Weather Service office in D.C. (Note, they even finish with one of my favorite lines here on the ABC2 Weather Blog...)
From the NWS DC: "ONE THING IS FOR SURE...GUIDANCE WILL FLUCTUATE AND THE FORECAST WILL OSCILLATE OVER THE NEXT 2-3 DAYS. STAY TUNED"
