A record high of 69 has been set 3 times on this day. The most recent record was set back in 1947 followed by 1916 and 1914.

A zonal flow or west to east flow has kept the weather quiet for the past several days.  When there are no dips or ups and downs in the jet stream, the highway that storms ride upon, conditions tend to be mild and low pressure systems are either weak or non-existent.

February will kickoff just like the previous two months with temperatures above average. Highs today and tomorrow  will be in the mid 60s. Even after a cold front passes on Wednesday temperatures will only drop 10 to 15 degrees which will still keep the temps above normal.

Usually, the first week to 10 days of February is the time to watch for snow but not this year. Just to reiterate, February has 28 days and this year it has 29 because of leap year so there is a lot of time left to get snow. Please don't be discouraged, depressed, or sad because of the lack of snow. Remember, March is one of those wild card months that anything goes!!
