So, just a few days back Baltimore Magazine editor Jess Blumburg sends me an e-mail, asking if I'd like to fill out a survey to be in their upcoming singles edition after being nominated as one of Baltimore's most eligible bachelors.
Frankly, it did feel a bit awkward at first. Then I thought, sure, why not, "could be fun." I'm a single dude after all...
Little did I know nearly all my co-workers would find out in record time I was actually selected to be in the upcoming February issue, before even I did. Wow, quite the way to make my first appearance in a magazine.
I think my grandfather, Jesse Everhart, would have been proud. A life long Baltimore guy, he was definitely quite the man about town in his day.
Of course, the prevailing wisdom here at ABC 2 inow is - "I'll be married within about 6 months."
What's the logic behind that, you ask? Well, Jamie Costello tells me that our former sports anchor Rob Carlin was in a similar edition a little over a year ago, and with just a few months - bang - he had tied the knot. (And to none other than our own rather attractive Megan Pringle to boot).
Yes, I know, even though Rob was featured in the magazine, he still ended up marrying someone he met at work. But - hey - whatever it takes (or took) - haha!
More updates to come...the photo shoot is in just a few days - stay tuned!
