In 2004, 'Jeopardy!' host Alex Trebek was driving his pickup truck near Templeton, Ca. when he fell asleep at the wheel.

Trebek hit a string of mailboxes, sailed over an embankment and landed in a ditch.

He was driving alone and managed to come away from the crash unhurt.

He recorded a public service announcement for the National Sleep Foundation talking his close call.
