Traveling in Mt. Vernon this weekend? Be advised that traffic and parking modifications are in effect for the Baltimore Book Festival. The event will be held on September 28-30, 2012.

The road closures include the following:

Closed 9/26 beginning at 7a.m. through 4p.m. 10/1

  • East and West Mt. Vernon Place from St. Paul to Cathedral Street
  •     E. Monument Street from Calvert to St. Paul Streets
  •     Hargrove Alley from E. Madison Street to E. Mount Vernon Place


Closed 9/27 beginning at 6a.m. through 9a.m. 10/1

  •     East and West Branch Lane from St. Paul to Cathedral Streets
  •     N. Charles Street from Centre to Madison Streets


Closed 9/27 begnning at 6a.m. through 6a.m. 10/1

  •     Charles Street from Madison to Read Streets
  •     East Madison Street from St. Paul to Charles Streets
  •     West Madison Street from Charles to Cathedral Streets
  •     Lovegrove Street from E. Read Street to E. Branch Lane
