According to active.com , there are 4 things that beginners should know before running in cold weather.
1. You won't need to wear as much as you think. Ben Davis says he wears a shorts sleeve tech shirt and shorts as cold as 45F. Between 32-44F, Davis says to wear a long sleeve tech shirt. Below freezing, he suggests long thermals, shorts and a jacket with gloves. Davis advocates the theory, less is more when it comes to dressing for a run.
2. That awful lung burn goes away after a few runs.
3. Wearing black gloves helps.
4. Stay hydrated in cold weather.
