OCEAN CITY, MD - Two stranded boaters were rescued by a Coast Guard crew in Ocean City after they did not return home when scheduled from a fishing trip.
The Coast Guard station closest to Ocean City received a call from one of the boater's wives Tuesday after the two men were supposed to have returned from their fishing trip, but never showed up.
The boater's vehicles and trailor were both still parked at the marina.
A Coast Guard crew that came from North Carolina to assist spotted the men's boat, but they were unable to get radio contact with the boaters.
The crew was eventually able to confirm that the boaters were the men they were looking for and were told that the boat had been overheating which is why they did not return when scheduled.
The boat was towed back in by the Coast Guard crew.
