A report by The Annapolis Capital has identified three Navy football players charged in a sexual assault case that has gotten attention from coast-to-coast.
The newspaper reports multiple sources have identified the three as junior linebacker Josh Tate, former safety Eric Graham and former safety Tra’ves Bush.
It’s reported the Naval Academy has not confirmed or denied the identities of those charged.
The case involves a female midshipman who has accused the football players of sexually assaulting her at an off-campus home after she passed out from a long night of drinking.
The charges against the football players come in the wake of criticism from Washington. President Barack Obama spoke at the academy’s commissioning ceremony in May and spent time discussing the negative impact of sexual assaults that happen on the military’s watch.
