PIMLICO, Md. (WMAR) - The Maryland Jockey Club has announced the breakout bank The Assembly Line will open for main stage powerhouses Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa for the Preakness InfieldFest concert on Saturday, May 19, before the $1 million Preakness Stakes.
The NYC-based rock bank was brought together by a Craigslist ad and a passion for making music, and has seen success in recent years with placements on MTV and rave reviews in the press for their new video and song, "Full Impartial".
The Assembly Line will open the main stage at 11:15 a.m., with a 45-minute set. Wiz Khalifa will play from 1:20 - 2:30 p.m. with Maroon 5 scheduled to perform from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
In addition to the main stage, the day-long multi-celebration festival experience will feature live music on the Jägermeister stage with Mr. Greengenes (8:20-9:50 a.m.), Little Big Town (12:05-1:20 p.m.) and The Darkness (2:50-4 p.m.).
IndieldFest 2012 also includes the Beer Garden, National Volleyball League beach volleyball and DRF.com Wagering 101 tent with expert advisors from Horse Player NOW on-site.
Tickets will be $50 in advance through Ticketmaster and the Preakness Ticket Sales Office and $60, beginning Saturday, May 12. Two 160 feet MUG Club areas will be available in the Infield for an additional $20.
