BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Ravens have confirmed that Ray Lewis started practicing with the team on Wednesday.

Lewis has been out with a torn triceps for over seven weeks.

Although he is returning to practice, he won't suit up for Sunday's game against the Redskins.

The first game he's eligible to play is December 16th against the Denver Broncos.

“I’m making progress and will practice some today, but, the story shouldn’t be about me right now," Lewis said. "We’re playing the Redskins Sunday, and I am not eligible to play. If I can help prepare my team in some way for that game, I will."

Lewis said he will have more to say when he knows he will play.
