BALTIMORE (WMAR) - The Baltimore Ravens played their first Monday Night Football game on November 10, 2001. The Ravens played a total of three games on Monday night that season, and it was by design as the Ravens won the Super Bowl for the 2000 season in a 34-7 blowout of the New York Giants in January of 2001.
In the team’s Monday night debut, the Ravens defeated the Tennessee Titans 16-10 in Nashville. The team’s second Monday night game was on December 29 in Tampa – a game the Buccaneers won by a score of 22-10.
The third Monday Night Football game the Ravens played in the 2001-2002 season was the first the team hosted, as they defeated Minnesota 19-3.
