BALTIMORE, Md. - The Orioles announced that Jesse Wasmer will be accompanied by Daniel Borowy tonight at Camden Yards to throw the ceremonial first pitch of Sunday’s game against the Yankees.
Wasmer is the guidance counselor widely credited with thwarting a vicious shooting attack in the Perry Hall High School cafeteria on August 27. Borowy, a Perry Hall sophomore with Downs Syndrome, was the only person shot and has been making a slow but steady recovery.
Baltimore will be cheering tonight for Wasmer, Borowy and the Orioles.
