BALTIMORE - Wedding day followed game day for two Orioles fans who got married at Camden Yards on Friday.

Cherish and Willie Cornett got married on the field the day after the Orioles demolished the Yankees 10-6.

Cornett says her fiancé has always been a huge Orioles fan so she planned a surprise Birdland wedding. “I planned everything out, without my fiance knowing anything,” she said. During Thursday night’s spinetingling game against the Yankees, which they attended, she turned to Willie and asked him if he wanted to get married on the field.  He gave her an excited yes, and it was game on.

On Friday the happy couple headed to Camden Yards and said “I do” in front of officiant Michael Barrett in a private ceremony.

Did they have hot dogs at the reception?  “We didn’t have a reception because it was just the two of us!” she said.
